Who are we?
The Protein Brewery (TPB) is a young, highly innovative company that focuses on the development and production of sustainable food ingredients that contribute to an active lifestyle and healthy aging. We do this using an innovative biomass fermentation process. We are responding to the growing (global) need for healthy nutrition, especially for proteins and fibers and do this in a sustainable way, harnessing the power of fungi. Our team in Breda currently consists of 40 people and is growing rapidly.
The Protein Brewery recently raised its series-B funding and received EFSA approval for its key ingredient, Fermotein®. The current organisation is mission-driven, with the collective goal of the organisation, the teams and the individuals aligned. Our culture can be described by our core values:

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic HR professional that will support the team in the pivotal moment of scaling up our factory in Breda and commercializing our ingredient in the USA and Europe. We believe that The Protein Brewery becomes successful when we support our people to be successful. As HR Business Partner you are responsible for enabling an environment in which people can perform and develop.
What are your responsibilities and scope in this role?

You are responsible for our HR policies, processes and administration (e.g. the Employee Handbook, employment contracts, pension, absenteeism, and job and salary structure). You will be in charge of both the execution as well as the development and the professionalization of them;

Responsible for the recruitment plan, the hiring process as well as the onboarding of new our colleagues;

Managing sick leave in collaboration with the occupational health and safety service;

Ensuring the smooth running of the performance cycle and annual salary review;

Keeping the job and salary structure up to date

Leading HR-related projects such as employee satisfaction surveys, PMO, etc.;

Supporting and advising the Management Team in all people matters;

Employee contact: you are the go-to person for employees who have questions about HR related topics and support them where needed;

Fostering a performance culture with room for learning and development and continuously working on improving our employee engagement;

Involved in organizing events to celebrate our success!

Are fluent in Dutch and English: feeling comfortable to speak and write in English is important because this is our main language.

Are available for 32 to 40 hours per week.

Are willing to participate in whatever it takes to make TPB successful, even if that is not a core task of your role on paper. You have a strong can-do mentality and are very hands-on.

Are structured, reliable and have an eye for detail. You know how to work with confidential and personal information and you are a strong communicator.

Know-how and experience with technology and AI tools is beneficial.
